HiMedia's AL066 refers to a high-glucose Dulbecco's Modified Eagle Medium (DMEM) designed for cell culture. It contains 4.5 g/L of glucose and sodium bicarbonate but lacks L-glutamine and sodium pyruvate, allowing researchers to customize their cell culture supplements. [1, 2]Dulbeccos Modified Eagle Medium (DMEM), High Glucose HiMedia is a widely used cell culture medium formulated for the cultivation and maintenance of mammalian cells and other suitable cell lines. The high-glucose formulation contains 4.5 g/L glucose, providing an enhanced energy source compared with conventional DMEM formulations.

The commonly supplied HiMedia AT241 formulation contains L-glutamine, sodium pyruvate and 25 mM HEPES buffer and does not contain sodium bicarbonate or phenol red. HEPES provides additional buffering capacity and helps maintain a suitable pH environment during cell culture operations.

DMEM High Glucose is suitable for primary and established cell cultures, biotechnology research, pharmaceutical research, cell biology, tissue culture and other laboratory applications. The medium is supplied as a ready-to-use liquid formulation and should be stored according to the manufacturer's recommended conditions.
